David Baumgartner
David Dee Baumgartner, age 77, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 11, 2022. A graduate of Brentwood High School (Class of ’63) and the University of Kansas, he worked as an architect in the St. Louis area for over forty years. He loved fly fishing, sailing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his children: Mark (Beverly) Baumgartner, Jeffrey Baumgartner, Jennifer (Ryan) Conkwright, six grandchildren, brother John (Carolyn) Baumgartner, sister Virginia Lee Shaver, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Baumgartner, and his parents, Herbert and Minnie Baumgartner.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29th at 4pm at the Church of the Open Word Garden Chapel, 1040 Dautel Lane, St. Louis, Missouri 63146. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Church of the Open Word Garden Chapel, or SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
Dave was so nice, considerate, friendly and loving. I have known Dave for over 30 years and enjoyed every minute spent with him. He loved his family and was a very special Grandpa to all his Grandchildren‼️ He will be greatly missed but always fondly remembered in our hearts 💖
