David “Hollywood” Phillip Banskter

David “Hollywood” Phillip Banskter, 57, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022.  He was born on January 5, 1965 and was proud to be born and raised in St. Louis. 

David was an auto mechanic by trade and loved all things cars. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and was a straight foward, tell-it-how-is, if-he-thought-it-he-said-it, no filter, good man that would help anyone. 

He liked to go yard sale-ing, wheelin’ and dealin’, and watching car and fishing shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and Skip Shipley, and, sister Kimberly Moore. He is survived by his long time partner-in-crime, Martha McGrew; daughter, Whitney (Wyatt) Verble; stepdaughter, Billi (Kenny) Steele; stepson, Zachariah (Samantha) McGrew; brothers, Mike and Mark Banskter; sister, Denna Shipley; granddaughter, Natalie Verble; step-grandchildren, Zachariah Jr, Ariana, Nikayla, Jaxon, Levi, and Xzavier; many, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
