Charles Boggs “Bo” Morgan Jr. age 32 of St. Louis, passed away July 21, 2022 at his apartment.
Bo was born November 16th, 1989 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Bo grew up in Southern Maryland, graduating from Patuxent High School in 2007. He worked as a cook, sushi specialist, and a sous chef in Washington, DC; Philadelphia; Portland, Oregon; and Salt Lake City, Utah before he landed in St. Louis in 2017. He became a local celebrity on the food scene as his creative skills led to his development of the Deep End, where he produced numerous food shows in St. Louis.
Bo was a key contributor to the opening of the nationally recognized Asian restaurant Indo of St. Louis.

He was an avid skateboarder in his younger years, frequently competing in local skateboard competitions. Bo also had a knack for music, easily and quickly picking up instruments. He began playing the trumpet at an early age and found a love for marching band in high school, where he played the euphonium. His natural artistic abilities found so many outlets. He excelled in Advanced Placement Photography and was known for his photo and movie editing skills.

Bo was always surrounded by friends, from his crew of skateboarders in high school to his biking friends in St. Louis. Those who met Bo were immediately drawn to his energy and enthusiasm for life. He was a good conversationalist and could always be counted on for an adventure. Most importantly, he treated everyone he met with kindness and love.

Bo realized at an early age that the world was different than he thought it should be. At four he said, “Look, look, the grass is John Deere green.” Riding in the car, he screamed out “the lines, the lines in the road are mustard yellow.” Just a few years ago he called to announce, “I just rode by my past.” He had just passed an old Acura on the highway like his first car. Bo didn’t just hope the world would be different; he made sure that it was. Every person that met Bo was able to see the world a bit differently too – a little brighter, and certainly a lot more interesting. And because of him, we have so much to miss, so much to love; what a gift he was.

He is survived by his parents, Judy and C.B. Morgan of Dillwyn, VA; his sister, Sydney Morgan and her wife Christina Cavanaro of Canton, Massachusetts; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and his cat, Measles and dog, Darla. He leaves countless friends across the county from Portland, Oregon, to Southern Maryland mourn his passing.

Memorial services will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church August 27th at 1PM.
