Andre Marcel & Beverly Mae Tourrette
Andre Marcel Tourrette, and his wife Beverly Mae Tourrette, both passed away from natural causes in Webster Groves, Missouri, on 27 June (Andre) and 9 July (Beverly) 2022.
Andre was born in Bougival, France, on August 8th, 1938. He moved with his family to the United States while in his teens and settled in Rhinebeck, New York. He later moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he met his bride Beverly, a Brooklyn native. They were married at a young age and celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary together in Heaven on July 11th, 2022.
Andre served in the U.S Army and was stationed in Germany with his wife by his side. Rarely throughout their lives would you see one of them without the other. After his time in the service, they moved back to Brooklyn to start a family. It was there that Andre began his career in the automobile collision repair industry, which lasted over 40 years. They and their 2 children relocated to Sunrise, Florida in 1977, and they later enjoyed 20 years of retirement in the Del Webb community in Summerfield, Florida. Wherever they were, they made good friends, who will surely miss them. Socializing with friends, whether it be playing cards or sharing meals was always a big part of their lives, especially during their retirement years. They could often be found at the community clubhouse and pool area. They also enjoyed participating in volunteer activities through their church, Christ Lutheran. Living close to their daughter and her children and frequent visits by their son and his children enabled them to maintain close relationships with their grandchildren throughout their lives. In 2021, they moved to Webster Groves, Missouri, to be closer to their son’s family.
They are survived by their son, Andre, his wife Lisa, daughter Pamela, and grandchildren Alexa, Kaitlyn, Dane, Cole, AJ, Lia and Gavin.
Their ashes will be buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in Missouri. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in autumn when the leaves change color, which was their favorite time of the year.
