Debbie Hunt
We are here today because we are connected by our relationship with Debbie Hunt. Her relationship with you was likely unique and based on shared interests and life experiences. Each of us came here today to honor those moments.
And so, today, we have come together to celebrate the life of Debbie Hunt. As we celebrate her life, I ask that you share your memories of Debbie with family and friends. We recognize today that though the physical presence is gone, the relationship does not end.
Debbie was born May 14th, 1953 in Yuba City, California. Her father was John Arter Hunt and her mother was Margaret Lauder Wilson McLeod. Her father was from Missouri and her mother from Scotland. Her mother was a war bride and their family lived first in California and later moved to Missouri.
Debbie attended Berkley Schools. She was a graduate of Berkley High School and Hickey School of Business. Debbie worked for Shell Oil Company 1975 to 1985 and for Monsanto Company from 1985 to 2009.
Debbie loved having a good time. Her interests ranged from appreciation of muscle cars, to reaing crime thrillers, to caring for her pets, to celebration of holidays–most notably Halloween and Christmas. She was never happier than when her home was decorated and she was enjoying her holiday celebration rituals.
Debbie died April 13th in Florissant, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Hunt. Debbie is survived by her siblings, Diane and Dean and by her nieces and nephews–Amy, Debbie, David, and Ashley.
Debbie loved her pet cats. Sweetie Pie and Pumpkin Puss are hoping for adoption from Cat Network. Baby Mew Mew and Honey Bun are hoping for adoption from Felines Forever.
Deb, I will always remember you, as I have for the last 25 years, each time I put my pumpkins out at Halloween, because you painted them. I’ve also always been so fond of the reindeer that you purchased broken, but mended just for me for Christmas. I love the things we did together (teas and crafts) and all the laughs. Thanks for being my friend. I’ll see you before you know it.
