Maxine Marquardt, 77, of Pekin, IL, passed away on August 12, 2022, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

Maxine was born on August 13, 1944 to George Thomas and Geraldine (Hull) Ellenburg, in Springfield, IL.

Maxine married Carl J. Marquardt in 1963, having one daughter and two stepsons. Carla (Alan) Borcherding, Mark (Mary) Marquardt and Michael (Gail) Marquardt. She has four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Maxine was a Homemaker and later worked for Pekin Insurance as a Housekeeper for 18 years, retiring in 2013.

Maxine was predeceased by her parents, seven siblings and husband.

Maxine was a loving and caring person, who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children. Her favorite Holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas, and she never missed an opportunity to make them special.
