Ronald Carr

Ronald Floyd Carr, 74, of Desoto, MO (formerly a resident of Arnold), died Saturday, September 24, 2022 in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and graduated from Lawrenceville Township High School in 1966. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he accepted a position with Missouri Pacific, now Union Pacific, in St. Louis, where he worked in the technology department for over 30 years.

Ron loved music, sailing, cooking, crossword puzzles, travel, Hallmark movies, and spending
time with his family. Just two months ago a special dream of his was fulfilled, which was to
have all of his family meet at Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy. He was very proud of his daughters.
He was much loved and will be sorely missed.

Ron is survived by three daughters, Pamela (Alan) Nicholson, Andrea (Steve) Decker, Ashley
(David) Brutcher, two granddaughters, Taylor (Lucas) Fortner, Caitlin Nicholson, one grandson,
Evan Brutcher, one great granddaughter, Natalie Fortner, a brother, Dr. Gary (Kathy) Carr, and a
sister, Jean (Peter) Harrison. His parents, Floyd and Viola Carr, preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
