Robert “Bob” V. Taylor

Robert “Bob” Taylor of Wentzville, MO., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 26, 2022, with his wife Glenna of 46 years along with family and friends by his side, at the age of 89.

Bob was born on October 7th, 1932 to the union of Estyl & Marie (NEE: Crain) Taylor. Bob and Glenna were united in marriage on December 27, 1975 in Bridgeton Missouri.

Bob was employed by Local 88 as a meat cutter for many years, where he later retired from.  He enjoyed spending time working in his yard, fishing, hunting, golfing, RV camping & traveling, hosting fish fry dinners for his family and friends but he mostly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob was the devoted husband of Glenna Taylor (NEE: Blue); loving father of Robert Bruce (Dottie) Taylor, Renea (Joe) Shuey, Robin Taylor (Bernie), Paula Whitley, the late Debbie (Eric) Herschelman, Mike (Kelley) Myers and Bonus son Rick (Sandi) Miller; dear brother in-law of Sherlie Blue, Jim & Jan Blue, Bill & Iva Stack, Bill & Judy Weitkemper and cherished grandfather of 13; great grandfather of 16 and great-great grandfather of 3. Bob was also a beloved uncle, cousin and friend to many and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Estyl & Marie Taylor; siblings, Estyl (Verna) Taylor, James (Ruth) Taylor, Gentry (Elaine) Taylor, Mary (Malcom) Roe, Anne (Art) Rosen, Troyena (John) Kehoe and infant Billy Taylor; daughter, Debbie Herschelman and grandchildren, Missy Taylor and Daniel Herschelman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Red Tree Church, 4900 Highway D, New Melle, MO 63365, with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:00 PM where military honors will be rendered for Bob, who proudly served his country in the United States Army.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s honor, to Red Tree Church, P.O. Box 58, New Melle, MO 63365 or any charity of your choice.
