Mickey Mayfield
Mickey Mayfield, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the home of her
son, Scott Mayfield in St. Charles, Missouri.
Affectionately known by her great-grandchildren as “Gigi,” Mickey was born February 8, 1934,
in Benton, Missouri to Reverend Ernest Punch and Mae Punch. She is survived by Patricia Long
(sister). She was preceded in death by her brother, Dickie Punch, who passed away at the age of
2 years old.
Mickey loved spending time with her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Debra
Wipfler, Scott Mayfield (Perla), and David Mayfield (Peggy); grandchildren: Nick Wipfler (Lacey
Wipfler), Jesse Mayfield, Katie Mayfield Cento (Joseph Cento), Eric Mayfield, Amber Mayfield,
and Darette Joy Villarreal; and great-grandchildren: Elise Elizabeth Sorensen, Paisley Wipfler,
and Lainey Wipfler (with two great-grandchildren to be born in the near future). She was preceded
in death by her long-time companion, Robert Bradshaw.
Mickey loved talking to people she met and after half an hour, would know their life story. She
loved babies and would frequently stop in her tracks to admire the baby and chat with the parents.
She also felt a great deal of compassion for animals in need. She adopted a stray cat and began
feeding the stray cats in the neighborhood.
She will be missed. There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 1:00
– 4:00 at St. Louis Cremation, 320 Jungermann, St. Peters, Missouri. A funeral service will be
held at a later date in her hometown of Benton, Missouri.
