Adelaide Corbett
Adelaide Cannava Corbett of Eureka, Missouri, was born January 16, 1935 in the Bronx, NYC and passed in peace on November 9, 2022. Monga was loved by her 8 children and their spouses, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Addie was a friend to everyone and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Addie had a number of professional positions throughout her life including marketing research, teaching mathematics, and retired as an investment consultant with Metlife. She loved guiding fellow teachers to the pathway of financial independence.
She is remembered as a person who gave her time willingly, understood the Christian mission of love and support to those in need. Her house was always open and her home knew no strangers.
A visitation and funeral Mass will be held on December 2, 2022 in her honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka, MO, visitation starting at 9:30 am and Mass following at 10:30 am. The family welcomes those who knew Addie or her family. A burial and luncheon will take place immediately after the funeral mass.

Monga was a beautiful soul who loved us all, no matter who we were. She expected us to be the best and work hard but have fun in life too. She let you know to your face when you did wrong and she expected you not to do it again. She still loved you. Rest in peace, May your new journey of life be filled with continuous love and continuous keeping us down here on the right track. Rest now in peace.
I am confident the Lord has taken mom home and she is reunited with past loved ones, but she isn’t gone. I see her in my siblings, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I see the impact she has left on many and to be sure, many that I am unaware of. To list all her attributes … impossible. We are blessed to have so many memories of you to share. Peace.
My sister, friend, confidant ! I loved having you in my life. We lived half way across the country for most of our adult lives but that did not diminish the love we shared and that of my children. Rest in peace you deserve no less. I’m sure you’re home in Heaven with others we loved and have gone ahead. Will never stop praying for you and loving you.

I just found out that Adelaide was my first cousin. My father was Vincent Tarantino and Adelaide’s mother and my father were brother and sister. I have not seen you in years but we will always be cousins. My sister Barbara and my brother Alexander also passed.

Addie and Cathy were my math tuutors at Meramec Community college back in 1977-78. Loved them both, and love to Michelle also.
