Kenneth Joseph Cieslak
May 25, 1949 – November 9, 2022
Kenneth Joseph Cieslak passed away peacefully at DePaul Hospital on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the age of 73 after a 4 month fight from Keytruda and cancer. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May. 25, 1949.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Chester A. Cieslak and Dorothy ( Herbert) Cieslak and survived by his loving wife Mary Ann (Lexa) Cieslak of 51 years. Lovingly remember by his children, Nicole (Mike) Miloshewski and Mark (Beth) Cieslak and grandchildren: Sarah, David, Joe, Eve, Logan, and Ethan.
Ken graduated From St. Louis University High School and received his BA Degree from St. Louis University in Theater and English. Ken received his Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri in Columbia. Ken was the owner and manager of Village Book Center in Village Square Shopping Center for 6 years, and then became a St. Louis County Library Branch Manager for 20 years at Lewis and Clark, Jamestown Bluff, and Natural Bridge. Ken was an avid reader and loved to go camping and exploring hiking trails. Together Ken and Mary Ann traveled to all of the adjoining 48 states and Canada. They had visited 150 lighthouses and many of the National Parks and Monuments. Ken always tried to do his best for God, his family, his friends, and his coworkers. He was quiet, but spoke up when he needed to. He always tried to understand the needs of others and did what he could to make their life better.

Ken was a man of God. He wanted everyone to know and understand God’s word. He love his family and friends very much. He will be greatly missed
Ken was a man who lived his faith generously sharing God’s love and care in ways that encouraged and grew others. Our dear friend Ken will surely be missed by his church family at North Hills UMC.
