Kimberly Ann Handy
Kimberly Ann Handy spread her wings on February 22nd 2023 and the Heavens rejoiced, welcoming their angel back home. Daughter of the late Jerry and Carol Bailey. Beloved siblings of Dawn Bailey, Mike (Lori) Bailey and Shannon (Steve) Nothstine. She is survived by her loving children Kacie (Paul) Starling, Kirsten (Tim) Wiechens, Kyle (Nikki) Handy, Kourtney (Hollis) Handy, Kevin (Danni) Handy, Kole (Lakota) Handy, loving nieces and nephews Joseph (Skyler) Nothstine, Bailey Nothstine, Bradie Nothstine, Lee (Nichole) Bailey and her loving grandchildren Damien Bennett, Jayden Wiechens, Tobias Wiechens, Iris Handy, Jane Marcus and Lilly Marcus.
A “wild child” growing up in the 70’s, she always said how things changed for her when she had her children, she knew being a mother was her greatest purpose in life. Her family was her sole focus, she worried over and took care of them until the end, sometimes (always) to the exclusion of her own needs. Kim was a loving spirit of God, she valued family, loyalty and honesty. She believed everyone needed a harmless outlet for stress and her outlet was gardening, crafting, gathering with her children and grandchildren for lots of laughs and good food.
Kim had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh (squeals)! She made her whole family laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions and all her silly sayings. She was the most kind, generous and compassionate person. She believed in dignity and a person’s right to choose the life they want. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and dysfunctions. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, forgave them and always kept on loving them.
When Kim’s grandchildren came along, it began a whole new chapter for her. She easily added the role of grandma or better known as “cookie grandma” and showered them with all her love, just as she did all she knew.
Kim will be deeply missed by all of those she left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was truly one of a kind and to be loved by her, was to be truly blessed.
Momma, we will never forget you and always carry you with us in our hearts.
My sister-in-law, Kim, was always kind to me and she loved plants as much as my late husband.
What a beautiful tribute from her children that she loved deeply. “Her children rise up and call her blessed“
-Proverbs 31:28a
My niece, Kim. I knew her since she was 9 and she was very sweet and loving. I loved doing things with her because she was so creative.
Kim was a loving mother and a very strong person.
That was a beautiful tribute to her.
Love, Aunt Rochelle
Rest in Peace … prayers for all of you.
Kim was a very sweet lady! I loved her and know she loved her kids! So sorry she had such a hard life! I know she is in Heaven with her Mom and Dad. God has Blessed you Kim.
