Mark Robert Smith passed away on February 25th, 2023, a few days after his 64th
birthday. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 19th, 1959, to Kay Hubach
(Björnsen) and Jerry Smith.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his four children– three sons, Keith R. Faulkner and his
wife Rhonda Seel-Faulkner of Barnhart, MO, Alex R. Lim of St. Louis, MO, and Ian L.
Smith of St. Louis, MO; and one daughter, Arielle R. Smith and her husband Scott Oitker
of St. Louis, MO. Additionally, Mark is survived by three brothers– James W. Smith of
Imperial, MO, William B. Smith of Imperial, MO, and Dean A. Smith and his wife
Elizabeth Moulder of Springfield, MO; and one sister, Marian R. Henry of Virginia Beach,
Virginia. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren.

Mark is predeceased by his parents and his brother, James V. Monroe of Jefferson City,
MO.

The family would like to thank the dedicated medical professionals at Missouri Baptist
Medical Center and Mercy Hospital South for their compassionate care during the last few
months of his life.

A private family gathering will be planned soon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
