Edward A Pogorzelski
Edward Adam Pogorzelski passed away on March 14, 2023 at the age of 94.
He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, the son of Bruno and Frances (nee Obremska) Pogorzelski.
Ed was a veteran of the US Army.
Ed was an engineering draftsman for Carter Carburetor, Sverdrup Parcel and most proudly for Anheuser Busch until his retirement.
Ed was married to Helen (nee Kelly) for 44 years until her passing in 2007.
Ed was always cheerful and lived a life of optimism. He loved to dance and especially loved watching western movies. He was a kid at heart.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his six brothers and sisters. Alexander Pogorzelski, Frank Pogorzelski, Mary Lorkowski, Julia Slesinski, Bernice Woloncewicz and Dorothy Henigman.
Services: Memorial service to be held May 5, 2023 at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1413 N. 20th Street, St. Louis, Missouri, 9:00 am Visitation, 9:45 am Funeral Service. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Ed was a real gentleman and great parishioner and volunteer at St Stanislaus Kostka Church. Ed was always eager to help with any fundraiser in the church and I especially enjoyed having Ed assist me with the Fall Festivals. We became great friends and I learned from my sister Lorraine, that Ed was the god mother of my Aunt Mammie (Mary). Lorraine and I enjoyed our talks with Ed. We have missed ED since he had to sell his home and was unable to drive.
