Richard Kirk Wall
My dear husband, Richard Kirk Wall peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 65, and holding onto his guardian angel “Earlina’s” wings flew upwards to heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chris. They had been married 30 years this past October.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents “Hank” and Wilma Wall.
He is much loved by his sister, Terri Wall and will be forever in her heart and prayers. She will miss playing their favorite game “Dice” with him.
He will be always remembered by the Wall, Kettenbach, Rauch and Santeford families and his many friends.
He was so proud of his nieces-Andrea (Kettenbach) Santeford, Amy Kettenbach and Jessica Kettenbach and how they grew up to be such loving and caring young women.
He will lovingly see his grand-nieces, Molly Kettenbach and Ava Kettenbach grow up as he looks down on them from heaven.
And last but not least, he will be forever in the hearts of his “Red Meat Weekend” friends-Don, Mike G, Brad, Jim and Mike B. Memories of all camping trips, canoeing, fishing and sitting around the campfires. These memories will always be remembered and talked about.
But, he always told his wife, Chris, that she was his best canoeing partner. And she was!
Many thanks to Dr. James Esther and Dr. Maged Haikal for their wonderful care throughout the years. Dr. Haikal—this one is for you.
(Kirk was talking to the visiting priest at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home on Thursday, March 9th and he asked him to talk to God and see if there were rivers to canoe on in heaven. On Friday, March 10th the priest came into Kirk’s room and said he had good news and bad news. The good news was there were beautiful rivers to canoe on like the Currant River and he could get his favorite “Old Town Canoe” to make the trip.. The bad news was that tomorrow, March 11th at 1:00 am, after his flight to heaven with “Earlina”, his 13 mile canoe trip would begin!)
Also, thanks to St. Louis Cremation for their help at this sad time.
Boober, you will forever be remembered in my heart. I love you tons and tons, and bunches and bunches.
And that’s a big amount, bigger than big, Big! BBB-BT.
A “Memorial Celebration of Kirk’s Life” will be held later this month and envelopes for the AHA will be there.
Donations in lieu of flowers should go to the American Heart Association
Kirk will be forever remembered and appreciated for his friendship, his love of Chris, and for reintroducing us to river floating! And Kirk, thanks for correcting my canoe paddle stroke!
