Krista Joy Halverson

Krista Joy Halverson entered her eternal home on Friday, April 7, 2023.  She was born
in Minneapolis on December 18, 1975, and moved to St. Louis as an infant.  She
graduated from Clayton High School in 1994 and from the University of Missouri – St.
Louis with a Psychology degree in 2004.  Everyone loved working with her at St. Mary’s
Hospital, Paraquad, and SSM IT Center.  Despite multiple medical and physical
challenges since 1999, Krista lived a full life serving others selflessly and loving others
unconditionally.  She was a fun-loving, gentle spirit who left an indelible mark on the
many lives she touched.

Krista’s passions included spending time with her friends and family (especially Connor
and Molly), the beach and dolphins, shopping, and having her nails done.  Her amazing
ceaseless smile and never-ending positive attitude brought joy to everyone.

Krista is survived by her parents John and Eunice (Aaland) Halverson, sister Nicole
(Sean) McManamon, brother Nathan, nephew Connor and niece Molly McManamon,
grandmother Mary (Crimmins) Halverson, other extended family, and many caring
friends. Krista was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Alfa
(Cartford) Aaland of Zumbrota, MN and Dr. Palmer Halverson of Jackson, MN.

Extending the life of four individuals with organ donation on Easter Day signifies her
willingness to share and brings comfort to many.  She was deeply loved and will be
missed by her family and friends.  We give thanks to God for Krista.

What a beautiful tribute to Krista, a wonderful woman who never ceased to amazed me. Her smile lit up a room, her strength and perseverance were remarkable. She was truly one of a kind. Rest at last Krista, free of pain and limitations. Much love to the Halverson family who were there for Krista at all times.

I am blessed with so many childhood memories with Krista and Nicole. The two weeks they’d come to S Morrison Ave every summer was the greatest. I remember Krista introducing me to the band Poison. I thought of her often over the years and still will. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Sending love and prayers to all of you from Jackson. ❤️

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal. My wish for Krista is that she now touches dragonflies and stars, dances with fairies, talks to the moon, and has a million kitty cats to play with. My deepest sympathy to Eunice and the Halverson family. I always felt guilty for not having a positive outlook on my own life after spending time with Krista. She was truly one of God’s angels and was a gift to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. God bless.

Your never ceasing support and love for your daughter have always been amazing to me and you reflected her positivity in all the times she went through one physical challenge after another! She lived as Jesus would have wanted her to and knowing she is where there is no more pain only live, joy and peace is of great comfort to those of us who know YOU and your heart! Many many hugs, dear Eunice❤️🤗💕🙏

I will always remember Krista! When I was on the floors, I will never forget her beautiful smile and her kindness towards others. She, indeed was a woman of great strength, just like her mom.

I am so sad by the loss of you and your beautiful spirit in this world Krista. You were such a kind and caring and upbeat inspirational person in my life. I am honored that you were my daughters Godmother. You are missed and will be forever by myself and Teagan alike.
