Carol L. Hilsabeck

Carol L Hilsabeck, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2023 at NHC in Maryland Heights.

Carol was born in St. Louis, MO to Bruce Sherman and Merle (nee Bernstein) Sherman July 10th, 1944. She was preceded in death by Bruce Sherman (father), Merle Sherman (mother), David Sherman (brother), Bruce Sherman Jr (brother).

Carol was the Loving mother of Andrew (Kerry) Hilsabeck, Patrick (Barb) Hilsabeck, Heather Hilsabeck, and Jason Hilsabeck.

She was the cherished grandmother of (Andrew) Tyler Hilsabeck, Evan Willis, and Corey Willis; (Patrick) Andrew Hilsabeck and Becca Hilsabeck; (Jason) Aubrey Nilica, Nolan Hilsabeck, and Harper Hilsabeck. 

She was the Caring Aunt to Christina Slavens.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 11th, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at the Blanchette Rau Garden 3 (outdoors) at 1900 Randolph, St. Charles, MO 63301.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center.

    Carol always lived in the moment and always loved where she was. She brought so much wisdom into my life, and I never really thanked her. But, she never expected a “Thank You”…she always gave-what she could and wanted to-without expecting anything in return.
    Heather and Jason, I’m sorry that she’s gone, but she always told me that she would visit in spirit when she left this world.
    And, you know she will.
