Norman Roder

Norman Roder, 89, of Chesterfield, MO, passed away on May 19, 2023. Norman was born on July 24, 1933, in Anamoose, ND. He was a graduate of North Dakota State University. Norman served in the Army and was proud of his military associations.

Norman worked at McDonnell (Douglas) before leaving to become electronic parts sales representative for Harris Hanson Company. He enjoyed playing bridge, travelling, watching NDSU football, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Norman was a kind and generous man who spent time volunteering at St. Luke’s Hospital, where he completed over 5000 hours of service. He was also part of the Memory Aging and Program for 30 years, and he continued to help others by donating his brain and body to Washington University. Norman is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Roder of 54 years, and his daughters, Ann (and Charles) McCloskey, Patty (and Brett) Burchette and their children Caroline and Owen. The family will have a private memorial service on a future date.
