Roberta (Bobbie) Jean Adams (Dotson)

Roberta (Bobbie) Jean Adams (Dotson), also known by her close family and best friends as Snooks, was born Feb. 2, 1949, to Homer E. Dotson and Lorraine Dotson (Schmidt). She passed from this life on May 20, 2023.

Bobbie went to grade school at the one-room school house in Flat MO. She went on to high school at Newburg MO and graduated in 1967. On July 8, 1972 Bobbie married Joe Clayton Adams. Together they raised 4 children. She retired from Civil Service as a Property Book Officer at Ft. Leonard Wood in 2001.

She was a Cardinals baseball and Kansas City Chiefs Fan. She especially liked Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. She was a muscle car enthusiast. Many Saturdays she could be seen at a car show with her old Monte Carlo SS. She was an avid collector of frogs, all shapes and sizes, with over 1,000 in her collection. She loved to do crafts, especially with her grandkids. Bobbie was an excellent painter. When she wasn’t crafting, she was reading a good mystery book or watching one on TV. She loved to crochet. She made sure that all her grandkids and great-grandkids and several of the neighborhood children had a new baby afghan when they were born. She always made time for the kids. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Rewoldt. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joe Adams of the home. 4 children: Michella (Michael) Morrissey of Riverview FL, Ronda (Robby) Payne of Flat MO, Michael (Heather) Adams of Rolla MO and April (Charlie) Adams of Flat, MO. Sister, Kay Wilson of Flat MO. Grandchildren; Wyatt Porter, Mason (Jennifer) Porter, Cody Payne, Blake (Megan) Payne, Gavin Adams, Hailey Adams, Addison Adams, Jordan Morrissey and Sam Morrissey. Great grandchildren; Maddox, Gracelynn, Elaina, Scarlet, Haidyn, Waylon, Huntleigh and Riley. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.

Bobbie’s smile and dynamic personality will be missed by all that knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on July 15, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Golden Fields Venue in Flat, MO.

    Bobbie was a joy to be around and she is missed very much. We will never forget her laughter and how she obviously loved her family with all her heart and was so proud of them. We will be honored to attend the celebration of her life.
