Steven Lee Dodson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis E. Dodson and Barbara L. Dodson (nee Griffith).

Steve was on the baseball team in grade school and played football for Normandy High School from which he graduated in 1975. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving active duty from 1976 to 1979, released under honorable conditions. He remained in the Reserves until 1982. Steve followed the footsteps of his father, working as an oiler for a grain elevator early in his employment years. He later worked as a millwright for a steel mill and wood mill and then as a general laborer for a refrigeration company and vending company.

Steve made several life long friends throughout his lifetime and travels. The stories of his journeys are legendary. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love him. Steve is survived by his son Dana Dodson (Danielle) and 2 grandsons, Andrew Dodson and Matthew Dodson. Also survived by his brother Mark Dodson (Debbie) and one nephew, Mark Dodson Jr.

Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on July 7th, 2023 at 12:30PM sharp.
