Cynthia Kay Hauri
May 10th, 1949 – June 29th, 2023
Cindy Hauri, born Cynthia Kay McCoy, passed away peacefully at her home in Manchester,
Missouri on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at the age of 74, She was born in Alton, Illinois on May
10th, 1949. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years, Gerry Hauri. Cindy is
lovingly remembered by her three children, Eric (wife Michelle), Laura (husband Kevin), Joe
(wife Jennifer) and her nine grandchildren Madeleine, Aleks, Anderson, Parker, Aeden, Alex,
Tessa, Andrew, and Asher; her loving sister Linda (husband Jerry) Mussleman and brother-in-
law Charles Zboray. Cindy’s memory will be treasured by nieces, nephews and many dear
friends, old and new.
Cindy and Gerry married in 1996 and spent many years living in Colorado Springs surrounded
by the beautiful nature of the Rocky Mountains which they loved. They later moved to St. Louis
to be closer to family. Cindy’s interests included reading, gardening, and history. She spent
many years volunteering at the Missouri History Museum and researching as much as she
could from the Smithsonian Museum. She loved being with friends touring haunted mansions,
local gardens, and other St. Louis landmarks. Cindy was passionate about discovering her
family genealogy as this was her favorite pastime. She shared her love for animals with her
many cats, most recently her beloved Lily.
Cindy was strong and courageous as she fought cancer the last few years of her life. When her
time came, she carried herself with dignity, grace and incredible strength. Cindy was filled with
love for all those who surrounded her. She will be missed dearly. She will be remembered for all
the love, laughter, and light she shared with her family and friends.
Service will take place August 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 17 Ann
Avenue Valley Park, MO 63088.

I’m definitely going to miss you my lady, and our Wayne Brady ( let’s make a deal). You were a beautiful soul and I enjoyed spending those last days with you and your beautiful family which I’ve grown to love.
Rest easy beautiful, no more suffering.
