Josephine “Jo” Margaret (Determan) Jones, born October 10, 1932 and passed away peacefully on  July 30, 2023 of a heart attack. Jo was born in El Reno, Oklahoma. She was the second child of Mary Elizabeth (Stottman) Determan and Leo Henry Determan.

Jo graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1950. Jo married William G. Jones and they had one child.

Jo was a public school teacher in Wilburton, Oklahoma for 25 years, teaching 1st and 3rd grade.

She loved to play bridge, read, crochet, work in the parish office and help family members make curtains, drapes, and window treatments for their houses.

Jo moved to O’Fallon, Missouri in 2007 and lived 5 doors down from her sister Martha.

Jo is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Anne (Jones) Angeli and son-in-law, Marty Alan Angeli of Helena, Montana; her grandson, Nicholas Aaron Angeli (Springfield, Ohio); her sister, Martha Mary Herr of O’Fallon, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband; her brothers, Richard Bernard Koos, Delmer George Koos, John W (Jack) Koos, Leonard Frank Koos, Hubert Arnett Koos, Leo Henry Determan; and her sisters, Vivian Maxine Koos Gleese, Agnes Mary Koos Reeder, Rosalie Determan Seikel, and Geraldine Louise Koos Ketter.

Jo’s interment is pending.
