Jeremy Ronald Newton
Jeremy Ronald Newton was born on January 15, 1976, as the pride and joy of his parents Ronald and Jane Newton.
Jeremy grew up in the Fenton area and attended Eureka High School where he played baseball, water polo and met some of his lifelong best friends, including the love of his life Sara (Miller) Newton. He graduated in 1994.
Jeremy completed a degree in Criminal Justice in 1999 from University of Missouri-St. Louis and went on to complete the St. Charles County Community College Police Academy in 2000. He began working as a Police Officer in January 2001 in Frontenac, Missouri where he served several roles including Detective, Traffic Safety, Citizen Police Academy Liaison, Mobile Response, and Major Case Squad of St. Louis.
The pride of Jeremy’s life was his family. He was a dedicated, hands-on father who fueled his kids’ passions throughout the years, including dance, soccer, baseball, and volleyball. He coached various teams for Camden over the years, but thoroughly enjoyed helping coach Camden’s Mountain Biking Team and he loved participating in St. Paul Parish activities with both of his children.
Jeremy was called home in Christ on August 10, 2023 after a valiant and bravely fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sara (Miller) Newton, children; Camden (14) and Harper (12) and his parents Ronald T. Newton and Jane (Barnes) Newton. He was the cherished brother of Alyson (Newton) Voelkerding, brother-in-law of Josh Voelkerding, loving uncle to Wyatt and Paxton, and son-in-law of Ann Miller. Preceded in death by his adored cousin, Chris Williams, beloved father-in-law Thomas Miller, and his nephew, Colton. He will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
