Pamela “Pam” Joyce Reese

Pamela Joyce Reese, also known as Pam, passed away peacefully in her home on September
25, 2023, at the age of 74 in Wildwood, MO. She was born on March 27, 1949, in St. Louis, MO,
to her beloved adoptive parents Velva and Michael Taylor. Pamela’s loving and caring nature
made her a fierce protector and survivor, always looking out for her loved ones. She had a
thoughtful and artistic spirit, and her extroverted personality allowed her to connect with others
effortlessly. Pamela had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to those around
her. She was known to be generous and grateful, cherishing the moments spent with her family
and friends.

Pamela had a strong spiritual connection and was a member of Messiah Lutheran and Good
Shepherd Lutheran churches. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, providing her with
comfort and guidance.

In her free time, Pamela enjoyed expressing her creativity through painting and writing. She
found solace in bible study and enjoyed playing video games, she was also an avid reader.
Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandsons, Alex and Nicholas Fuss, who
brought immense joy to her life and who dearly loved their Nana.

Pamela had a successful career as a retired Human Resources Specialist. Her dedication and
expertise made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the organizations she served. She was
an alumna of Columbia College, where she furthered her education and honed her skills.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Dawnn Fuss, and son-in-law, Alfred Fuss. Her son, Mark
Henry, and daughter-in-law, Helaina Hinson, also mourn her loss. She is also survived by her
sister, Shirley Simpher, and brother-in-law, William Simpher. Pamela will be dearly missed by
her niece, Talayna Marco (Drew), nephew, Jeffrey Simpher (Megan), and great nieces
Mackenzie and Eleanor, as well as great nephew Cameron.

Pamela’s life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service, the details of which will be announced
at a later date. In honor of her memory, contributions can be made to the Stray Rescue of St.
Louis at https://www.strayrescue.org/donate.

May Pamela Joyce Reese’s soul find eternal peace as she is finally reunited with her beloved
son, Jason Buetow, and may her loved ones find comfort in the cherished memories they
shared.

I will miss my dear friend, Pam. My best stories are those of her humor and our “misadventures” during trips to New Orleans, the Grand Canyon, Virginia, D.C., and Sedona. She so loved her family and, especially, her grandsons. God blessed all who knew her!

Even though we lived miles apart we always had that special connection. My regret is that I didn’t keep in touch more often even with just a phone call. And now I am so saddened. We had so many good times together and I will forever cherish those memories! Forever in my heart ❤️
