Rita Ann Hacker

Rita Ann Hacker, 99, of St. Louis, MO, passed away at 2:35 a.m. on
Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Delmar Gardens of Creve Coeur.  She was
born December 23, 1923, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas, a daughter of the
late Aloys Doerhoff and the late Mary (Bode) Doerhoff.
Rita was a devout Christian and faithful member of All Souls Church in
Overland. She was a strong, selfless, loyal, and loving woman with a heart
of gold. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching the St. Louis Cardinals,
spending time with her family, and singing in the church choir. She had a
long career with Forest Park Community College where she worked in the
admissions office. Rita was very physically active her entire life.  You
could always find her out walking during the day. She will be forever
missed but will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Hacker (Cathryn Hacker); three
grandchildren, Brandy Kell, Maxwell Hacker, and Ashlee Fortschneider; two
great granddaughters, Taylor DeLoach and Tara Almazan; and four great-
great grandchildren; Dylan DeLoach, Grayson DeLoach, Hayley DeLoach,
and Harrison Hacker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Hacker; two sons,
Phillip, and Glenn Hacker; six brothers, Joseph, Norbert, Victor, Harold,
Felix and Paul; and three sisters, Mary Doerhoff, Esther Aungerer, and
Pauline Foster.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
