Sondra June Holloway (nee Estep)
Sondra June Holloway (nee Estep), 85, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on November 24, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Luella Estep.
She was born on December 6, 1937 in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She attended nursing school in Memphis and met her husband there before getting married in 1959 and moving to their home in St. Louis, where they lived together for nearly 60 years. She retired from nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital in 2002 and enjoyed spending her free time reading, going to church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
June will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, including her husband of 64 years, Richard Holloway; her children, Lisa (Bob) Mohr and Dave (Erin) Holloway; her grandchildren, Taylor (Shawn) Brown, Jordan Mohr, Zach (Olivia) Holloway, Hannah (Micah) Pugh, and Abby Holloway; as well as her great grandchildren Bennett and Lydia Brown and Molly Holloway.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. She made the world a better place. Glad I was able to cross paths with this lovely person.
June was a pleasure to our family for many years. My mother and June stayed close even being 1000 miles apart. Her and her family have a special place in our heart.
My dear best friend in high school, roommate in nursing school, with me when I met my husband, faithful friend all these years. Funny, powerful in her faith, heart of gold, loved her family and friends. I will miss her! Praying for peace and comfort for her family.
