October 10th, 1958 – December 1st, 2023

Judy McNeely went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Ron McNeely. Loving mother to her daughter Amy and son Greg. Loving Nana to her granddaughters, Alyssa, Haylee and Brooke. Loving Great Nana to Landon and Savannah. Sister to Kathy, and her brothers Jeff and Mike. She was a dear friend to many. Judy left a legacy of her unwavering faith in the Lord and desire for everyone she met to know Him too. She was an encouragement to others, always praying for people no matter what she was going through herself, and would say, “Always trust in the Lord.” She herself lived this out during her strong and courageous battle with breast cancer these past 5 years. Even though she was going through this, she rarely let others know the struggle she may have been going through inside. Instead, she clung to God’s mercies which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-24) and encouraged those close to her to do the same, often quoting her favorite verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) 

Her testimony was living a life of faith over fear (2 Corinthians 5:7). She never let this disease take her faith, peace or happiness.  Of the 5 years living with breast cancer, she only received treatment for the first year and then stopped as she wanted to put her full faith in the Lord and whether it was His desire to heal her or take her home – she wanted to live a full and joyous life until it was her time to be with the Lord. I believe because of her great faith; God kept her safe in abiding in the presence of Him (Psalm 91)

I invite you to join the family in honoring Judy’s memory by embodying some of her characteristics – her love for God and others, her encouraging words for others, her steadfast faith, and her contagious laughter. She would not want you to grieve her passing, but to have unwavering assurance in Jesus’ promise to return (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

A celebration of life will be held in a park in the Spring. The family will send out the information through social media. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home Church (1595 Archer Dr., Arnold, MO 63010) where she attended church and/or gift cards for groceries for her surviving spouse.

We are thankful for everyone who took wonderful care of her in her last days.
