Life Reflections of Maurice Anthony Wilson

Maurice Anthony Wilson of Webster Groves, MO made his transition on January 10, 2024 after a long fought battle with Alzheimer’s.

Maurice was born with his twin brother Michael, to Juanita Wilson Stevenson and Lorenzo Kennemer on December 5, 1951 in St. Louis, MO. Maurice attended and graduated from Northwest High School and O’Fallon Technical School. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Maurice accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age and throughout his life he worked to walk in the ways of the Lord in his loving actions toward others.

He was blessed in his first union with two daughters Monica Wilson and Carmen (Tony) Randle. In 1994, he married the love of his life, Paula. They enjoyed traveling, long walks with their dog Jacob, and watching movies. With Paula, he gained his bonus children Phillip II (Stacey) Rhodes, Stephen (Sabrine) Rhodes, Adam (Kelly) Rhodes, Paya (Shawn) Sample, and Patience Rhodes. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren: Brianna, Morgan, Christopher, Brooklyn, Seth, Britney, Madison, Shiloh, Shane, Londyn, Zoe, Salem, Cora, Layla, and Josiah. And 3 great-grandchildren: Milyn, Bryson, and Chozyn. His greatest joy was spending time with his dear family, laughing, joking, and having a good time.

Maurice worked for Cupples for many years and was most happy in his position in Human Resources because he loved building relationships with people. He was an avid golfer and sports fanatic. You could always find him in his full team attire cheering on his favorite St. Louis Cardinals and Blues teams, yelling “They SCORED!” with loud enthusiasm. He won many trophies for golf, bowling, and baseball. He loved music and always dreamed of being a DJ playing Jazz and Motown.

Maurice departed this life Wednesday, January 10, 2024: He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Sharon Washington. He will be remembered by: his mother, Juanita Wilson Stevenson; his siblings, Michael (Angie) Wilson, Janice Rose, Cynthia Jones, and Bruce Hayden; his best friend, Stan Beck; along with many family and friends. His great smile and love of life will be missed greatly.

Services for Maurice Wilson will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024
