Linda June Wade
Linda June Wade died suddenly in Saint Louis, Missouri on February 6, 2024.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Luna and Pearlie (Collings), Anna-Faye Highfill (Luna), and her sister, Lorraine Hanks (Tusler) her half-sister, Judy Ebling (Highfill), her niece, Jimmy Highfill, her nephew.
She is survived by her husband C. Harry Wade, her son Harry (Nancy) Wade, her daughters, Wendy Freebersyser (Wade) and Courtney Kallial, Sandi and Russ Whitworth (Swanson); her grandchildren, Nikki Wade and Paul Rainey, Tommy and Anna Wade, Jason Freebersyser and Shannon Columb, Corey Freebersyser, Russ Whitworth and Samantha Whitworth; and her great-grandson Blake Rainey.
June is also survived by her brother Gary Tusler her sister-in-law Mary Tusler, her sister, Lelanie Issac (Luna) her brother-in-law Cecil Issac; her
bonus grandchildren Marissa, Joey, Jim, John, and
Josh; her many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
June and Harry celebrated their 60th anniversary on September 7th, 2023. Their love and commitment to each other is inspiring.
As the matriarch of the family June’s unconditional
love, kindness, and care uplifted us all. For June, the
family was ever-growing as she opened her heart to
everyone she met. To know June was to have a
protector, the best listener, and a best friend. June’s
kindness and love filled a room and empowered everyone she met.
June loved playing golf with friends and family, especially her women’s league. June was the most loyal fan as she cheered on all of the youth sports teams over the years from the earliest dance recitals and soccer games of her children, baseball, football, soccer, and volleyball for her grandchildren, and most recently Blake go-cart racing.
To know June was to have a lifelong friend. June maintained friendships from her early years at the “Lake”, collecting and never losing a friend through the years. There are no words to describe the joy and love she brought to so many lives, there are no words to describe the love she had for her dear husband Harry, there are no words to describe the beautiful heart that she so bravely shared with her friends who are just her expansive family. To know June is to be deeply loved.
June’s love language is giving. June loved to give gifts and could find a special something for just the right occasion, but more than gifts June gave her time, attention, and talents. June was the one person you could always count on the be there, to laugh, to cry, to do the hard things or just to give you the best hug you didn’t even know you needed. June’s smile traveled from her lips through her eyes and directly into your heart and she could fill a room with love with just her presence. June was an amazing cook and especially a baker. Over the years her cakes and pies were the focal point of all of our most precious memories; birthdays, holidays, and even the extravagant wedding cakes that she taught herself to create.

Aunt June was a beautiful giving and thoughtful person. I know that she and my mother Judy were the best of friends and confidants in all things. She always had a smile and a well wish for everyone! Beautiful person!
