In loving memory of Carlotta J. Teitloff, February 27, 1943 – February 21, 2024

Carlotta “Cookie” Teitloff, (nee Meyer), age 80, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on February 21, 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer. 

Cookie was born in St. Louis February 27, 1943 to her loving parents Marian (nee Bippen) and Francis Meyer who preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death is one child, Joseph Teitloff, and one brother Rick Meyer.

Cookie married John L. Teitloff, Sr. on September 7, 1963 and spent 55 wonderful years together until his death in 2018.  During those years, she had three careers, as a Medical Assistant, an Insurance Salesperson, and Retail Salesperson, before retiring from Dillard’s in January 2020. 

During a visit to see my Mom at Dillard’s one day, she excitedly introduced me to three women. I asked how they knew my Mom and they said, “We just met her today!”. Cookie was a friend to everyone she met, and she was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. Her unwavering faith and positive spirit will live on in the lives of all those she knew and loved.

Cookie leaves behind her children, John L. Teitloff.  Jr., Mary (Mike) Wiesehan, and Becky (Al) Beczkala. She also leaves behind her dear grandson Jeremy Beczkala, and granddaughter Sarah (Scott) Sonntag, and great grandson, Gideon. Cookie also leaves her dear sister, Patricia Maerli (nee Meyer), brother Francis (Michelle) Meyer and countless nieces and nephews.   

Visitation and Memorial Service will take place on Friday, March 8th from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
