November 23rd, 1940 – February 26th, 2024

Jeanne Marie Buehrle, 83, passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South – de Greeff Hospice House. She was born on November 23rd, 1940 to Frederick and Marie Leaver in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Jeanne lived a life filled with love, kindness, and warmth. She was known for her quick wit, snappy humor, and compassionate heart. Throughout her life, Jeanne was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She treasured spending time with her loved ones, and her presence brought joy to all who knew her.

Jeanne had many passions and interests. Some of her favorite pastimes included joining bridge clubs, attending shows at The Fox Theatre and The Muny, and watching recorded St. Louis Cardinals’ games (winners only). Jeanne loved to travel and had the opportunity to take many memorable road trips, cruises and vacations with her family and friends. She had a remarkable talent for living her life to the absolute fullest and had a multitude of laughs along the way.

In addition to her hobbies, Jeanne was committed to her community. She volunteered her time as a founding member of The Hazelwood Central Music Booster Club where she met many of her close long time friends. She had a deep love for Saint Louis and was a long-time supporter and member of the Saint Louis Zoo, the Missouri Botanical Gardens and the Saint Louis Science Center.

Jeanne Buehrle was the loving mother to Craig (Brenda) Buehrle and Laura (James) Soehlke, and a wonderful Grammy to Alyssa (Ted) Quinn, Ryan Buehrle, Jessica (Casey) Coffman, and Emily Buehrle. She was also the dear sister of Jane Ellen West and Leslie (Gerry) Inukai.

The family will be holding a private gathering to celebrate the beautiful life of Jeanne Marie Buehrle. In lieu of flowers, they kindly request that donations be made to Mercy Hospital South – de Greeff Hospice House or Siteman Cancer Center, in her honor.
