Laura Kay (Leach) Frost
Laura Kay (Leach) Frost is the daughter of Larry Leach and Barbara Kay (Stowers) Edwards. She was born in St. Louis on August 16, 1968 and departed this life on March 9, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter: Sophia Grace Frost; her fiancée: Lou Brand of Barnhart, Missouri; mother: Barbara Edwards (Bill Roden) of Fort Meyers, Florida; father: Larry Leach (Belinda) of Henderson, North Carolina; brother: Geoffrey Leach and his son Porter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister Kathryn Bradley and her sons Billy and Benjamin of Raleigh, North Carolina; along with many other family and friends.
Laura is a 1986 graduate of Eureka Senior High School, and lived in Robertsville, Missouri with her daughter Sophia, 2 dogs, 2 cats, horse and bunny. Anyone who knew Laura recognized the deep fondness and affection she had for animals, especially horses. She was notorious for bringing home strays.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 20, at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave St. Louis, MO. Memorial Service is from 11 am to 2 pm, with a brief service starting at 12:30 pm.
In Lieu of Flowers: please make a donation to the animal and rescue group of your choice on behalf of Laura.
I am at a lose for words…Laura was a sweet person..loved animals about six years ago Laura texted me and said her cat had kittens and that one was black( Laura knew i love black cats) and you get her! not do you want her..of course i still her that sweet cat named Cuddles. when my son was 11(24 now) we were visiting Laura. my older kids wanted to ride the horses and they did.. Kevin was scared Laura calmed him down and walked with the horse and Kevin loved riding him. Rest in peace Laura.. you will be missed
I am a cousin and it brings me great sadness for the loss of the family. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during this time.
Rest In peace Laura, I am sure you were met by the Lord and many wild horses in vast fields, you will be remembered for all the amazing things you did and we will all miss that amazing smile! Never stop watching over us, as your friends will never stop forgetting you.

Wow, Laura, I can’t believe you are no longer with us. You still look the same as you did on the picture on Facebook. It doesn’t look like you had aged at all. You were always so sweet and fun to be around. Gosh we were so young, you me Brian Winkeler. I still remember when you 2 started dating.
My heart goes out to you and your family, and for Lenny Brand, buddy I am so sorry for your loss. It wasn’t only a couple of months ago Laura and I were chatting on Facebook and she told me that you were the best thing to ever come into her life. I will keep you in my prayers my old friend, and I wish you much happiness in the future. If I can do anything for you just give me a call, ok.

Laura was a great girl.She was so down to earth easy to talk to friendly.I remember seeing her and Sophia at my moms house on the holidays those were great times.You will be missed.Even though her and my brother didn’t work out she is still my sister in law and was proud to know her.Bless you Laura.🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️

There are no words that can express the depth of sorry we feel for your loss, Barbara, Larry and to all her family and friends. Laura was special in so many ways and was truly loved by our family. She never met a stranger and we admired her friendly demeanor and kindness. Her love of animals and nature made her shine in a place of happiness and peacefulness. She was so excited to make her first St. Louis gooey butter cake, which was her and Lou’s favorite. I think they ate it all…This is not good bye, but till we meet again sweet Laura.
