Erdmute “Natasha” Marie Jenss Wood passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 79 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Natasha was born on August 14th, 1944 in Güstrow, Germany. Her mother, Anneliese, named her Erdmute (Earth-courage), because when she was born it took courage to live on this earth. A German national, she moved to the U.S. in 1965 after marrying Carl Wood.

Natasha was a retired educator who worked for Principia College for 40 years. She loved fashion and art, and cooking for her family. Natasha is survived by two children: Catherine and James, and four grandchildren.
