Stephanie Ann Jones

Stephanie Ann Jones, 37 of Cedar, Hill Missouri was called to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, friends and family preceding her in death, the morning of February 5, 2024. She was born to Robert and Peggy Jones on August 23, 1986.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her life partner, Brian M. Smith; grandmother, Nettie Jones; cousin, Tina Albert Daugherty; grandfather, Robert L. Jones; great uncle, Dale DeMay; and great-grandmother, Margaret Lowrey Nelson.

Stephanie is survived by two sons; Sloan Michael Blodgett and Brian Patrick Lee Smith, and one daughter, Skyler Marie Smith; her father and mother, Robert Lee Jones and Peggy Louise Jones; sisters, Rebecca Marie Jones and Dana Leigh Jones; grandparents, Steve and Sheila Lowrey; aunts and uncles, Kathy Jones, Jack and Diane Albert, Kim and John Renger, Letty DeMay, Eddie Lowrey, Julia Lowrey, Michael and Angie Lowrey, Steven and Sharon Fortner, along with extended cousins, family, and friends.

Stephanie was born in St. Charles, Missouri and was a 2005 graduate of Fort Zumwalt West High where she was an ambitious student as well as a softball player. Stephanie always put her all in what she did. She worked multiple jobs, played sports, and always excelled in school. Stephanie then went on to study at Southern Illinois University where she aspired to become a pharmacist.

Stephanie had a creative spirit and in her younger days, she enjoyed making art such as jewelry and hand-crafted gift boxes made from greeting cards. Stephanie loved creating art with her children, and boxes of art supplies were always at hand.

Along with arts and crafts as a child, Stephanie enjoyed spending long summer days riding bikes and playing in the creek behind her childhood home, catching crawdads and frogs with her sisters, cousins, and neighborhood kids.

Anyone who knew Stephanie was fortunate enough to experience her caring and compassionate nature. She was a thoughtful individual, whether offering a glass of water to quench your thirst, a gifted memento or the warm embrace of her hug, Stephanie was truly a caring soul.

Not only was Stephanie caring and thoughtful, but she also enjoyed a good prank alongside a funny joke. When you were with Stephanie, you could be assured a few laughs were to be shared.

One of Stephanie’s greatest attributes is how brave she was, when things got serious, she was right there. The unofficial nurse/doctor of the family, she could handle even the grotesque matters without fear.

Stephanie will be missed by all. She loved her family and her children dearly.

Steph was one of my neighborhood best friends growing up. Most of my favorite childhood memories include her. She was taken too soon and my heart goes out to all of her loved ones. Praying you all find peace through this.
