James Black

James Andrew McMillan Black was born on December 13, 1929 in Yorkshire, Ontario and passed away at the age of 80 on May 6, 2010.

He will forever be remembered by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret, 4 sons (James, Brent, Mark, and Jim), daughter (Mary), 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.

James was a decorated engineer in the Army where he served for 20 years traveling to places like California, South Carolina, Washington, Korea, Japan, Germany, and finally Missouri where he and his wife raised their 3 sons and he received a degree in education.

James loved spending time with his family. He took his grandchildren out every Sunday from the time they were out of diapers until they went to college. Along with his family, he loved hockey, making others laugh, creating mischief and butter pecan ice cream.

James touched the lives of many people with his smile and trademark sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service at 10am on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 1175 Piedras Parkway, Fenton followed by a service at Jefferson Barracks at 12:20pm.
