Mary Frances Garcia (née Sharp) passed away surrounded by loved ones at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri on January 15, 1940, to Francis Robert Sharp and Marie Catherine Sharp (née Stutsman).

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Paul Garcia; her daughter, Teresa [Bill] Hutton of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Sarah [Tim] Witthoefft of Richmond, Virginia; Laura [Jonathan] Dally of Richmond, Virginia; Amy [Justin] Grojean of St. Louis, Missouri; Heather Vannoy of St. Louis, Missouri; Katie [Eric] Nolen of St. Louis, Missouri; Alex Hutton of St. Louis, Missouri; Colin Hutton of St. Louis, Missouri; and seven great-grandchildren, along with many dear family members and friends.

Mary Frances Garcia (née Sharp) Mary was united in marriage to James E. Vannoy in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1973. She married Paul Garcia on July 18, 2008.

She is also preceded in death by two sons, John Robert Vannoy and James Michael Vannoy; one brother, Gary Robert Sharp; and both parents. 

Mary loved gardening, especially her roses; watching and feeding her birds; nice strolls in downtown Kirkwood; and shopping.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, followed by a service at 11 a.m. at Parkway Baptist Church at 12465 Olive Boulevard in St. Louis, MO.
