William “Bill” Hofmann

 

William (Bill) Harold Hofmann 74, of Saint Louis, born July 18, 1935, died on June 5, 2010 at the Community Care Center of Lemay.
 
Bill married Anna and served in the Army.  He did administrative duties at a hospital while he was station in Germany.  Once back in the states he completed his bachelors degree at Washington University.  Bill enjoyed being a cosmetic chemist for most of his life.  He had several patents on mouth washes and shampoos.  Bill and Anna owned and operated The Sign of the Turtle, an arts and crafts store where he shared his artistic talents teaching classes in drawing and painting.  Bill also co-owned and managed the Annalou Apartment building.  He was very active at the South Hampton Presbyterian Church.  He looked forward to having everyone over for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and open houses. He will be missed by his family and friends.
 
He was preceded by his wife of 54 years, Anna (Miller) Hofmann; father, Harold Hofmann; mother, Elizabeth Lewis; and his brother Lee Hofmann.
 
Surviving are his sister Diane Andreski; brother, George Hofmann; three children; Donna (David) Kellogg, Daniel Hofmann, David (Paula) Hofmann; five grandchildren; Robert (Gabby) Kellogg, Caroline (Clint) Jacks, Elizabeth Kellogg, Rachel Hofmann, Megan Hofmann; and two great-grandchildren; Bradon Kellogg and Kyle Kellogg.

    My Grandpa has done a lot of his grandchildren and I am so very thankful to him for that. He will be missed very much! LOVE YOU GRANDPA! XOXOXO
