I have been thinking a lot about Miss Mary so Googled her. I was just at Francis Park this morning. My dog Zoey & I visited her often when I lived on Eichelberger St. Zoey died on 04/24/23 & I couldn’t bring myself to call her & tell her. I knew & would cry & that it would upset her. She was such a good friend to me & loved animals so much. I have missed our talks & visits. May she rest in peace. Hopefully she has reconnected with Zoey in heaven.

Loved you as my mother-in-law, but even more as my friend. Already you are missed.

Everyone who knew Mary knew she loved animals. Mary would come to our home every Monday to give our 7 year old daughter piano lessons. We had a shih tzu named Yum Yum who used to sit on the piano bench between our daughter and Mary. Yum Yum never
learned to play the piano but she sure loved snuggling next to Mary and Mary loved having her. Mary will be missed by the Everdings!

Mary was a long time friend of my mom, Millie Stewart. Over the years, I enjoyed lunches, volunteering and even time in Florida with mom and Mary. Their good friend, Jean Crowder, often spearheaded activities that brought the three of these ladies together. I have many fond memories of our time together which always included many stories and laughter. I’m sure all three of them are together in Heaven.

My condolences to family and friends on your loss of Mary. She was definitely a treasure and joy to know.
