William Emmerich

 Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Bill died peacefuly on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the age of 95.

Bill was a devoted husband and sweetheart for 69 years of Leora Wolff Emmerich; loving father and "Cute Daddy" of Jo Ann Emmerich, William (Margo) Emmerich, Sister Mary Susan Emmerich, ASCJ, Kay Hannon and Rita (Lindsay) Alsop; much loved grandpa of James (Lisa) Hannon, Jenny (Dennis) Hoelzer and Beth Emmerich; adored great-grandpa of Chloe, Michael, Riley and Molly; dear uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend.

 

Bill was a kind and gentle man who devoted his life to loving and providing for his family. He could repair anything! We love you and miss you Dad!

Many thanks to all the Sisters and staff of Mother of Good Counsel Home for the love and kindness they showed to Dad during his final months. You’re the best!

Bill donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. James the Greater Church at the corned of Wade and Tamm Avenues, on Saturday July 24th at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. until the start of Mass.

If desired, memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. James the Greater Endowment Fund, 6401 Wade Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139 or to the Mother of Good Counsel Home, 6825 Natural Bridge, St. Louis MO 63121.

    Dear Leora & Family:
    My condolences on the death of your husband and father. I will remember him in my prayers. My wife has been in the hospital and just came home so I should stay here in Sullivan. Sorry I could not attend the funeral.
