Judith C. Berry
Judith Charlene Berry, 87, of St. Louis, MO, or better known to her family as Meemaw, passed away early in the morning on June 4, 2024. She was surrounded by her daughter and her granddaughter while she listened to her favorite song in her final moments.
Judy was born on February 24th, 1937 to her mother, Amilda Michaelis in Fulton, MO. After Judy graduated with a Masters Degree in Education she went on to work and retire as a teacher from the Rockwood School District.
She married her husband, David Berry and had two wonderful children, William (Bill) Berry and Susan Berry Brown. David and Judy loved taking trips to their favorite place, Lake Tahoe. Judy’s daughter, Susan, married and provided two grandchildren, Crystal and David Brown, that she loved and supported dearly.
After retirement, Judy loved spending her time working on diamond art pieces, playing and often times cheating at Monopoly with her family and listening to her favorite band, Queen. Her favorite song was Barcelona by Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe. She said she loved watching the live performance of the song because of Freddie’s voice and theatrics.
Judy is predeceased by her grandmother, Emma Butzer, mother, Amilda, mother-in-law, Anna Mary Berry, husband, David, and son, William. She is survived by her daughter, Susan and grandchildren, Crystal and David.
No services have been planned at this time, but a small intimate ceremony with close family and friends would love to be held at a future date at her favorite place on Earth, Lake Tahoe.
