Paula Sue Kemper, 61, of Chesterfield, MO and formerly of Akron, PA died peacefully on August 2, 2010, in her home with her family at her side.

The daughter of Paul and Anna Jane Gerhard, she was born March 27, 1949, in Ephrata, PA. She graduated from Ephrata High School.

Her journey through life took her on adventures to many places – she lived in Pennsylvania, Okinawa, Colorado, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, Kentucky and Missouri. She touched everyone that she met in every place she lived and was always willing to share a story or some baked goods from her kitchen. She enjoyed cooking, music, movies, reading, buying and selling toys and jewelry and spending time in Ocean City, Maryland during the summer with family and friends.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, nana, grandmother and friend. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, her brother Greg predeceased her. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Clarence; her son Eric and wife Jodi; her daughter Kristin Flood and husband Matt; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Kemper and Ethan and Jacob Flood; siblings Rick Gerhard, Pam Steffy and Steve Gerhard and numerous nephews and nieces.

Cremation services were provided by St. Louis Cremation.

A celebration of her life will be held in Chesterfield at her home on August 15th with her friends and also in Pennsylvania with family and friends on August 28th.
