Bernice Katherine(BC) Rubinelli, age 89, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.

BC was the sister of Peter R. Rubinelli, Jr.; beloved aunt of Michael (April) Rubinelli, Mary Pat Rubinelli, and Lisa (Daniel) Stockman; cherished great aunt of Samuel and Olivia Rubinelli, Jackson Dyroff, and Maximus and Leo Stockman. She was the beloved friend of many, particularly in the University City School District and the community of Visitation Academy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Bernice Rubinelli ( Devoti), and her sister, Barbara.

BC devoted her career to University City High School as both teacher and administrator. She was one of the first women to serve as a high school administrator in St. Louis County public schools. BC was committed to education her entire life; continuing as an adult literacy tutor during retirement. Her dedication to education was an expression of her deep Christian faith. BC had a unique ability to juggle commitment to service and justice, with care for her friends, and enjoyment of life. She delighted in the arts, travel, stimulating conversation, books, theology, and good food. Her laugh filled a room.

A service of Christian Memorial will be celebrated for BC at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 602 Rockwood Arbor Drive, on Saturday, August 10th, at 10am. Reception immediately following. All are welcome.
