Vicki Lynn (Wicks) Feix

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vicki Lynn (Wicks) Feix, who left us on July 22, 2024, after a beautifully lived life. At the age of 71, she passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital surrounded by the presence and love of her family. Full of laughter, love, resilience and hope, she touched the lives of the many who loved her.

She was born in East St. Louis, IL to James “Jimmy” Robert Wicks and Bonnie Sue (Dunn) Robinson on September 22, 1952. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Gunther Feix. Gunther and Vicki were married in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1983. They completed their family with the birth of their daughter, Jessica Lynn Feix.

Vicki was a devoted mother to Jessica, her pride and joy. Vicki loved any activity, if it was done with Jessica. Her simple pleasures included shopping and traveling to the beach. Vicki had a knack for decorating and could turn any room into something you might see in a magazine. She found special joy hosting beautiful holiday dinners for her family. Vicki took pride in her roles as a mother, grandmother, relative, and friend, who was always there when she was needed most, offering love in abundance.

Vicki was preceded in death by her Father, James “Jimmy”, and her Mother, Bonnie; Husband, Gunther; and Brothers, Chris Robinson and Kevin Wicks. She is survived by her Daughter, Jessica (Kevin Tuckson) Feix of Bellville, IL; Stepson, Chris Feix of Belleville, IL; Grandchildren, Reece Tuckson, Heidi Feix, and Julian Feix; Siblings, Steven Wicks of St. Peters, MO and Kim (Joe Courtney) Smith of Belleville, IL; Nephews and Nieces, Austin Smith, Tyler Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Tessa Robinson, Alicia Wicks, Aaron Wicks, Amy (Wicks) Totsch and Andrew Wicks; as well as, Beloved Aunts, Cousins, Great-Nephews, Great-Nieces, and Friends.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Deborah Akins, for the years of unwavering care and love. The family would, also, like to extend an enormous thank you to the nurses and staff at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, 12 Floor, Parkview Plaza.

To commemorate her journey, and to celebrate the hope she spread, a Celebration of Life will be held for Vicki at Copper Fire in Belleville, IL on August 4, 2024 from 4pm-6pm. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering an incredible woman who will be truly missed.

Donations made to the Family Heart Foundation in her honor, to support her granddaughter Reece, are welcomed and appreciated.

A sister is a gift to the heart. A friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. Steve.
