She was a gifted artist and shared her talent with many aspiring artists and friends with her home based ceramic classes.
She was a shop owner in Kimmswick, MO from 1991-2007. Her shop “Camilles” was well known for her hand painted ceramics, Beanie Babies, as well and a variety of other hand-crafted items and gifts. She was also influential and helped create the Kimmswick Visitor Center.

Camille loved to travel, experience new things and see new places. She loved traveling with her husband, and support his love of running marathons, half marathons and 10k races. She especially loved visiting Hawaii, and Washington DC with her husband and track club friends.
She visited The Holy Land with a group from her church, reinforcing her faith and commitment to her Christian beliefs.
She took a cruise through the Panama Canal and another cruise to The British Isles with her dear brother and sister-in-law.
Her absolute favorite place on earth was her Cabin along the Black River, that her Grandfather (Jacob H. Buffington) built, and where she met her husband. She loved sitting on the porch, reading or sharing stories of her ancestry, love of nature and all the peace that surrounded her there. Not only did she share this special place with family and friends, but also her dogs and grand dogs that held a special place in her heart.
Her legacy will live on in all the lives she touched with her inspiration, kindness and unconditional unwavering love.
A Celebration of Life will be held for her family and friends at a later date.
So many fond memories I will always cherish. You are home with so many who love you. Rest in peace ❤️
Sweet Camille, my sister-in-law, my friend of many years. She lived a full, loving life and I am fortunate that I was part of it. She will be missed, but continues to live through so many wonderful memories.
She was so dedicated and present for all those she loved and her community. She was always busy doing stuff for others and stuff she loves. I will miss her very much. Love you Aunt Camille. ❤️
My earliest memory of Camille (Mrs.Carney)
Was way back in1962. We moved into our new house with 6 kids. Two sets of twins a year apart. Two had just turned one. Other set was a month old.
We had a lot a visitors but Camille was truly helpful.
Camille came over and helped at feedings. Sometimes bringing dinner over.
My mom was very grateful.
Plus she raised a daughter with her values.
I remember Camille as a fun talented person who was so loved. She will be missed.
