Lamour Smith

Lamour Smith, belovedly known as GranMour to her grand kids, was born 8/17/1941 in St Louis Missouri. Her parents were married and they were Rosie Lee Stephens  (Reed) aka Pick and Richard Reed. Her parents had 8 children with one of them Lettie Mae passing as a child. Lamour leaves her only surviving sibling of this union Sylvia at this time.  Lamour attended Patrick Henry Elementary and graduated with a degree from Gradwohl.  She worked for the city of St Louis for over 50 years before retiring.  She married the love of her life, Burnett Smith, and they were together for over 60 plus years. They raised 5 successful children Randy, Lamour Jr, Cheryl, Mario, Khalid Muhammad and a 6th child, Robin Darlene, who died at birth.  She was a faithful servant and baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness and dedicated her life to helping others. She was generous kind and always available to lending a helpful hand to family and strangers alike.  If you needed a place to stay or some food to nourish your body her home was always open and her asking for nothing in return. She left this world on 6/26/2024 to go to her perfect paradise that was waiting for her after a valiant long fight.  She leaves a host of grand kids/great grandkids and an honorary 7th child her grandson, Jharri, who all miss her and her kindness tremendously. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Twinkie. She will never be forgotten . She taught us all to love, be kind to others, and always trust in Jehovah. Momma, you were the best to even do it.  We love you and thanks for being a great role model and laying the path for us to be great loving human beings. We love you from here to Eternity. Until we meet again.

She was a beautiful spiritual sister who I can’t wait to see again. I use to enjoy talking to her at the Kingdom Hall.

Mommy thank you for everything you did for me. Thank you for being my “Fan in the Stand”. One of your favorite sayings. She was my prayer warrior and my confidant. I’m going to miss her saying “Hello World”.. Thanks for believing in me and supporting me in everything I did. I know you are in your perfect Paradise like you always talked about. God needed you more I guess. You will never be forgotten.

    She preached “Good News”

    Learned from her.
Her dress, manor , consistent study,
    Communication and loving heart.

    A treasure … I do miss her…
