Virginia “Ginny” Roth
Virginia (Ginny) Lee Roth, 87, died peacefully on August 17, 2024, in St. Charles Missouri, surrounded by those she loved dearly. Born on June 10, 1937 in St. Louis Missouri, to Mary Virginia Rauhut and William Fred Rauhut. She was older sister to William Fred Rauhut Jr. (Deborah). Ginny was survived by her 7 children whom she adored and lived for everyday; Jeffrey Roth (Bernadette), Sherry Crandall (Jim), Allen Robert Jr. Roth (Mary), Jerry Roth (Donna), Matthew Roth, James Roth (Jodie), Jeanne Dinzebach (Michael). Ginny was Grandma “Grams” to 13 grandchildren, and “G.G” to 7 great grandchildren.
Growing up in St. Louis, Ginny was always outgoing, loved to dance, sing and never met a stranger. She loved Elvis and QVC, was a die-hard Cardinals fan and always cheered on the St. Louis Blues. Ginny was an animal lover, and enjoyed the companionship of her pets. Her family and friends remember her stories, sense of humor and the wisdom she shared. Over the years, Ginny held many professions, and if you asked her what her most rewarding job was, she would say raising her 7 wonderful children. In a letter found by her family following her death, Ginny wrote:
“I finally found the most beautiful thing I could leave behind when it is my time to go home to God. The most important thing in my life, my beautiful artwork of seven beautiful, talented, loving kids.”
Her family was her pride and joy, her forever love, her everything, even down to her last days on Earth. She was the matriarch and rock of her family and will be missed dearly. As Ginny would say, “Love ya babe”, enjoy dancing in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired contributions can be made in her honor to: Five Acres Animal Rescue, 1099 Pralle Lane, St. Charles, Missouri 63303 or The Bridge Coffee Shop, 3257-1 Domain Street, St. Charles, Missouri 63301
