The world has lost a wonder man, and a great fun- loving couple. The Mertens, the Wieprechts and the Berks spent many, many Friday evenings playing cards, and laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. I miss those good times, but lovingly remember each member of the group that we would share our Friday nights together. Then after 5:00 pm Mass on Saturday would go out and enjoy a meal together, often with others joining in the fun. They will never be forgotten, and the family is definitely in my prayers.
