Dear Sweet Gil, (or Gilbert which we always loved calling you), you were one in a million. The minute we met as neighbors of you and Betty we knew God had blessed us. So many, many fun times we shared that hold a special place in our hearts then and forever. Dinners at Pio’s, going to the Casino, playing dominoes, the card game of golf and so many more. Dancing with you was always so special but watching you and Betty dance together was absolutely magical 🕺💃🏼, you captivated everyone watching. Without a doubt you were one of the finest men to walk the earth. May you rest in peace and eternally dance with Betty. The world is a better place because of you and the many lives you touched. Thank you for being such an amazing man and thanks for the memories. A piece of our hearts remain with you eternally. Love, Ken & Mary Carter 💔💔

Gil was my uncle, cousin, godfather, employer, mentor and friend! He worked hard and played harder. He was always fun. He was always generous. His favorite vegetable was ketchup. Gil was one of a kind and will be missed by all!

Gilbert was such good brother . . . after daddy died, he was a great support for mom and me. When I needed a dad . . . he was sure to be there! In my senior year of high school there was a Father/Daughter Dinner & Dance . . . Gil was there! He even bought me a courage. I will always be grateful for Gilbert. May he enjoy eternal peace with his Lord and Savior. Thank you Gilbert and I love you dearly . . . your baby sister . . . Audi XO

I am so happy that Gil and Betty are dancing again. Gil was always so kind to Ron and I. Loved having a drink on our patio. Our Covid parties in his court were such a good time.

One of my best customers at my work at Scrambled Eggs he was always smiling ordered the same thing every time biscuit and gravy every once in a while he would order bacon crispy, he was full jokes like saying I see your still taking your pretty pills or just saying good morning sunshine, I would always joke back at him, I always thought of him like my grandpa, as well as my baby brother when he was in to eat my brother would joke with him too, his best memory was Gil telling my brother his going to live to be his age. He was a great man and will be truly missed. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Gil was a pleasure to be around . He was always in a good mood, patient and generous. He was an incredible dancer & we all enjoyed watching him dance back in the days when we had “live” music at the restaurant. May you dance eternally in heaven with your love of your life. ..Betty!
May God’s grace be with you , as you were faithful to God.
I will try and remember to “take my pretty pills ”
Our Sympathy to his children & entire family.
    Sincerely Tina / Madisons
