It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our father, Robert J. Wargo (Bob), who left us on October 26, 2024 at the age of 87. Born in Benld, IL to Mary Eisman and Steve Wargo. He was an only child but had a huge family with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bob graduated from SIU with a degree in Technology in 1959 and went on to start his career at Brown Shoe Company as an Industrial Engineer, where he worked his way up to management and then retired from. He loved golf, bowling, water skiing, fishing and coaching for his girls’ softball teams. After the death of his partner, Karen Neiman, he spent time helping his neighbor, Kay. He cooked for her and drove her to many of her appointments. He enjoyed watching football, the baseball Cardinals, Wheel of Fortune and going to the gym. He was always there no matter what his family and friends needed!

He is survived by his daughters, Dana Griffin, Kelly (Mark) Speckert, Elizabeth Wargo and his grandchildren Marissa Smith, Brian Speckert, Morgan Griffin and Olivia Wargo.
