RANDLE (RANDY) LYNN WHITAKER

11/06/1955-11/28/2024

Randy was born to parents Walter Eugene and Verla Faith (Boyd) Whitaker. He had 1 sister, Terri Whitaker.

Randy grew up in Ellisville, Missouri and graduated from Lafayette High School and received a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Programming from St. Louis University.

Randy married Marsha Kay Aiken on May 13, 1977. They had four daughters: Lisa (Chuck) Chesnut, Rene’ (Travis) Brinkman, Ronni Whitaker and Danielle McAndrew (Steve Dallas). Randy was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Hilary, John, Haley, Jackson, Sophia, Keaton and Chad.

Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting at our house in the country, BBQ’s, campfires, telling jokes, bowling, golf, and music. In school he played football and baseball and was a member of the band. As an adult he played in the AT&T softball league and was a musician in many country bands, including WIL Radio’s road band. Randy enjoyed many years driving blind bowlers to their league nights. He was most proud of obtaining Eagle Scout, being in the Bowling Hall of Fame and being on the Board of Directors of Camp Wyman through Nestle Purina.

Randy will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

*In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Breakthrough T1D (Formerly Juvenile Diabetes Association) or the St. Louis Society for the Blind.

    Randy was always so nice and kind to me he was a great guy and very interesting to talk with always! He will be greatly missed.

    I bowled with Randy many yrs, and played golf with him a few times.. Always had fun and made you laugh,,, always had a joke(of a particular kind) I cannot mention, but I can remember to this day his certain “accent” as he told it,, I am sorry to here of his passing, I lost track of him yrs ago, and had not seen him for a long time…FUN GUY, so sorry for your loss.
